Escort 1.8 115ps idle bouncing.
Hi,
Anybody had the problem were the idle bounces wilst the car is moving. If I put the car in neutral and role, the revs bounce between 1500 -2000 rpm. the moment the car is stationary it has a last rev (a little higher, about 2500rpm) and then idles perfect. since this problem started a few week back i have bit the bullet and traken it to ford were they have replaced the road speed sensor at a cost of £130, then they replaced the throttle possition sensor costing £230 and still the same fault. They now want to change the ISCV again costing me over a ton. Not really wanting tom spend much more on this problem as the car is not worth it.
any help would me much appreciated
Danny
